Clean Air Programme and funding for windows

Kategorie

Public awareness of the impact of polluted air on the human body is increasing. The “Clean Air” programme will make it possible to obtain funds for thermal modernisation of the house. One of the possible subsidies is a subsidy for window replacement, which can be obtained if certain conditions are met.

What is the “Clean Air” programme?

“Clean Air” is a government programme aimed at improving the quality of life for residents of single-family homes. This will eliminate harmful substances released into the atmosphere during the home heating process. The programme will therefore make it possible to obtain a subsidy for thermo-modernisation measures, e.g. window replacement.

Funding will be available until 2029, and as much as 103 billion zlotys are available. The subsidy can be obtained as a non-refundable grant or as a low-interest loan. The amount of the subsidy depends on the monthly income per person in a given household.

Who can get funding from the “Clean Air” programme?

The programme was created for people who want to improve the energy standard of their home and significantly reduce heating costs. Programme members can be homeowners and co-owners of homes who are natural persons. Funding applies to investments that have already begun. However, they must not have been started more than 12 months before the application is submitted. The application can be submitted to the Provincial Funds for Environmental Protection and Water Management.

Replacing windows is worth it

Airtight and energy-efficient windows will significantly reduce heat loss. They will therefore help to reduce heating costs. Modern windows will also ensure the necessary ventilation and improve air quality. Smog, fine particles and various allergens will not be able to enter the house. Replacing windows is an extremely important step and is worth considering if your windows are leaky. The subsidy for replacing windows will affect the amount of your heating bills and significantly increase the safety of your home. The subsidy covers the replacement of balcony, roof and facade windows and various types of transparent surfaces. The subsidy programme is available for new, market-approved windows with a declaration of conformity and a written manufacturer’s warranty. The windows must also meet certain conditions and the heat transfer coefficient must not exceed 0.9 W/(m2K).

How do I get a subsidy for replacing windows?

In order to obtain funding, an application must be submitted to the Voivodeship Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (WFOŚiGW). The application can be prepared in paper or electronic form. The deadline for submitting applications is 31.12.2027. All applications are considered on an ongoing basis and involve a visit from an employee of the voivodeship branch. During the visit, the condition of the building will be confirmed. The final stage is to obtain funding. The window frames must be installed according to the principles of warm installation. The non-refundable subsidy can range from 30% to 90% of the investment value. Read also:
